Moving ahead with our plans
MOVING AHEAD WITH OUR PLANS… Even though our Church building is closed we are still looking ahead to developments that had been in progress before the lockdown, as follows:
- INSTALLATION OF AUDIO-VISUAL SCREENS IN CHURCH - we undertook consultation about this with our congregation in January and obtained general support for the installation of screens. A copy of the consultation leaflet circulated then is attached. Since then, of course, we have experienced the Coronavirus pandemic and the need for ‘touch-free’ facilities has become evident. Once back in church, it is likely that we will not be able to share service books, hymn books etc for some time. It is for this reason that we wish to proceed with the installation, as soon as we are able.
- INSTALLATION OF A LOCKABLE GATE TO THE GAP IN THE CHURCH BOUNDARY WALL FROM THE CHURCHYARD TO CROFT FOULDS COURT – this is proposed for security reasons because of repeated thefts from that area of the churchyard.
Attached to this news item is a copy of the Public Notice, which we are required to make available for a period of 28 days. Copies have been posted around the churchyard, but in the spirit of fair consultation in this strange time, we are making it available here as well. The Public Notice advises you of how to comment should you wish to do so.
